To Roman Catholics, things to think about.

1.All Christians are saints, the "pope" does not appoint saints. Examples:

Ephesians 5:3 But do not let immorality or any impurity or greed even be named among you, as is proper among saints; NASB Philippians 1:1 Paul and Timothy, bond-servants of Christ Jesus, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, including the overseers and deacons: NASB There are 58

other examples in NT (NASB version) .

2.In "An Advanced Catechism" of catholic faith and

practice 1901 Page 248 it states "The crucifix upon the alter or

tabernacle reminds us that the alter is a new Calvary, where the

sacrifice of the Cross is renewed in an unbloody manner". The sacrifice of the Mass is unscriptural : See Hebrews 10:12:

but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat

down at the right hand of God, 13 waiting from that time onward

until His enemies be made a footstool for His feet. 14 For by one

offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.

NASB (Bold emphasis mine). Jesus Christ's death on the cross

provided cleansing for all Christians for all time, and we do not

need catholic priests or any other men trying to duplicate Jesus'

sacrifice.

3.All Christians are priests and Jesus is our High priest. See 1 Peter 2:9-9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. NIV; Hebrews 3:1- Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

The King James Version

Hebrews 4:14- Seeing then that we have a High Priest, that is passed into the

heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our

profession. 15For we have not an

high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of

our infirmities; but was in all

points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16Let

us therefore come boldly unto the

throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and

find grace to help in time of need.

The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769.
