Baptism is "when" we receive the Holy Spirit.

In 1 John 5:7-8 the scriptures state:

And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is the truth. For

there are three who bear witness, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and

the three agree in one.

Note: When we are baptized we are buried in the water into Christ's Death (Rom. 6:4) We contact his cleansing blood, and we receive the Holy Spirit just as Jesus did at his baptism, just as Acts 2:38 states, and just as Gal. 4:6 states. Acts 2:38-39 state 38Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off-for all whom the Lord our God will call." NIV
